Long drives.
It won’t come as a huge shock that once or twice I have to do a bit of driving.

Left Moscow early hours Monday and am heading to Werchter in Belgium .

What with a stupidly long border crossing and having to take a 24 hour driving break in Germany the trip is booked to take a week but should only be 4 1/2 days.
1800 miles.

Other long stints are
Stansted to Lisbon - 1400 miles
Norwich to Bucharest 1700 miles (leave 7th aug)
Stansted to Barca is another one I do fairly often.- 1000 miles.

Glam job this.

When I was in my early 20s I drove from Sidney to cairns and back again , about 3000 miles round trip.

What’s the longest you have driven?

I did a national parks road trip from Texas to Arizona to Utah and up to The Sierra Nevada and the lost coast and redwoods of Northern California, then back via Yosemite and through New Mexico to the Mexian border and then back to Texas.

It was about 5,500 miles all in, but over a week or so.

Within a single shift would have been Girona to Kent. My dad did a couple of hours. I did the rest. That was when I was 21 in a car. Later that summer I think I did Kent to North Yorkshire in a van. Unloaded said van by hand (close to weight limit) then drove back same day. I did all the driving and about two thirds of unloading. Fortunately - or maybe unfortunately - a 3.5T gross weight didn’t have tachographs

With overnight stops would be UK to or from various parts of northern or central Italy

Did Rome to Le Havre in one go on my Honda 1000 - missed the ferry by ten minutes too...and Philadelphia to Louisville which is nearly 700 miles...that was in a car though...bit less stressful

Did a run down to Zante and back in a van for a few years, drive to Venice (1000 miles), 20 hour ferry followed by a 50 mile drive and another ferry, good fun while it lasted.

Geezer I know drove from Manchester to Mongolia, via all the 'stans, the caucuses etc.

Did it in a Focus I think, which he left when he got there, and IIRC took weeks rather than months.

Probably the only holiday I've been told about that I'm genuinely envious of.

With all the flights booked out some friends of mine (and plenty of others) did the Perth to Melbourne road trip for the AFL Grand Final .... 3,500km (2,200 miles) across the NULLABOR.
And then back again 2 days later

Hello Mrs. Jones 10:11 Tue Jul 23

I think you'll find joe can only drive a restricted number of hours per day and hours per week - trucks have tachographs (or quite possibly some new fangled e-version is used these days)

Did The Pacific Coast Highway, Portland Oregon down to San Diego via some of the national parks earlier this year on a motorbike, about 2000 miles, beautiful route. Also done round trip of South Island NZ, don't know how far that was though.

Re: Long drives.
When I was about 10 in the early 1960s my parents decided to take the family in Dad's Morris Minor Traveller (the one with wood), towing a fold-down caravan, to southern Portugal for the summer holidays. I remember travelling on unsealed roads, seeing only peasants on their horses and carts, living off dried milk and Surprise peas, using water purification tablets in everything we drank, and having a great time doing it. That's a 4000 mile round trip in an old banger (well he did have the engine replaced with a reconditioned one) with two young kids on board.
